Brie Larson, who won an Oscar for Best Actress in 2015’s “Room” is set to star in Destin Daniel Cretton’s “Just Mercy.” Also starring in the film are Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther) and Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained). This is the third time Brie Larson will be working with director Destin Cretton, having previously collaborated on 2013’s “Short Term 12” and 2017’s “The Glass Castle.”
“Just Mercy” is based on Bryan Stevenson’s memoir “Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption” and is slated to be released early 2020.

Just Mercy shadows world-renowned civil rights defense attorney Bryan Stevenson as he recounts his experiences and details the case of a condemned death row prisoner whom he fought to free.
Brie Larson also stars in Marvel’s “Captain Marvel” as the titular superhero. “Captain Marvel” is expected to be released on March 8, 2019.
